Safety routines
Buses and dismissal
A teacher meets each bus at the loop in the morning and walks each child to the right bus or car in the afternoon. Only the adults on the family's pickup list may collect a child.
Visitors
Every visitor signs in at the office and wears a badge. Parents who help in a classroom sign in the same way.
Drills
We practice fire and tornado drills on a calendar the head of school keeps, and we name each drill to the children beforehand.
Allergies
Tell us about allergies at the visit; we ask privately once you enroll. Each teacher keeps the plan for the children in the room.
Illness
A child who is unwell stays home until the next morning, and a teacher calls a parent when a child is unwell at school.
